Kirtan

Rooted in the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, Kirtan is a communal practice of mantra, music, and meditation. Rather than watching a performance, everyone is invited to participate through call-and-response chanting: a mantra is offered, and the group repeats it together.

The repetition of sound gives the mind something steady to return to. As the practice unfolds, the breath often becomes more rhythmic, the thinking mind begins to settle, and the experience shifts from individual effort toward shared presence.

No singing, musical, Sanskrit, or meditation experience is needed. You are welcome to sing fully, participate quietly, or simply listen. There is no pressure to perform or sound a certain way. Come dressed comfortably and join us for an evening of sound, connection, and community. All voices are welcome.

Prasad—food shared together in gratitude—will be offered at the end of the practice.
